“EX VIVO” AND “IN VIVO” TESTS

We also carry out ex vivo and in vivo tests to monitor the improvement in efficacy of the encapsulated actives, as a result of our delivery systems.

NANOVESICLES FOR SKIN DELIVERY

We carry out efficacy tests using human skin explants to simulate real life situations of penetration and cosmetic activity. By way of example we hereunder show some of the results obtained.

“EX VIVO” TEST (HUMAN SKIN)

VEGAN DDS Pure Retinal: effectiveness in collagen recovery and CRABP2 gene expression.

Sampled treated with Vegan DDS Pure Retinal showed mild improvement in tissue damage compared to Aged Control.

PENETRATION STUDIES AND FLUORESCENCE

Specific studies of each delivery system have been carried out developing fluorescent nanovesicles which are tracked by confocal microscopy to study their specific accumulation in the target areas.

We also perform “ex vivo” skin penetration tests as part of the verification process of the ideal functionality of all the products, determining the amount of active ingredient delivered to each cutaneous stratum, comparative with the natural diffusion of non-encapsulated active ingredient.

FLUORESCENCE CONFOCAL MICROSCOPY

The fluorescent HDS nanovesicles adhere to the hair after being immersed in the dispersion for only 5 minutes and exposed to air for 2 hours prior to the confocal microscopy study, thus being resistant to wash cycles

FULL CHARACTERIZATION

We can perform a complete characterization of liposomes by measuring all key parameters.

We carry out a characterization report of the final cosmetic product to certify the perfect condition of the nanovesicles after their incorporation into the client’s final formulation.
