What it does in our skin?
Keratins are fibrous proteins found in the outer layers of the
skin, hair, and nails.
Hydrolyzed plant proteins, with amino acid compositions similar to animal keratin, are now available.
These proteins play roles in hair health through metabolic
reactions. Hydrolyzed proteins have lower molecular weights, allowing them to penetrate the hair cortex for repair and protection from within.
Consequently, hydrolyzed vegetable proteins are used in hair care products to treat damage, prevent split ends and frizz, and improve grooming, moisture, shine, and vitality.
